Wear your greenest green and get ready for a Saint Patrick’s Day themed 5k fun run!
Saint Patty’s Day 5k
Come join us for a fun-filled day celebrating all things green benefiting local non-profit The Gift of Love. This social fun run/walk is for all levels, on this out/back course we will take in the beautiful high desert scenery along the riverfront path.
$35 includes run entry, craft brew or hot chocolate and a custom pint glass OR water bottle. Kids 12 and under run free!
Bring your best 4-legged buddies along for the fun (dogs are allowed on the course and outside patio, not inside)
Find the hidden treasure!
Along the course there will be 7 hidden “Four Leaf Clovers”, each containing a special treasure you will redeem upon the finish line.
And for those seeking goal at the end of the rainbow we have a special growler challenge at this event.
Carry the “Pot of Gold” from the aid station back to the finish line and you’ve earned yourself a growler fill of your choice!
The catch? This growler may weigh as much as your small dog or child.
Get in the festive spirit and join in on the post run party fun by registering for one of our Beer Olympics Fitness games with our gym partner Out West Training when picking up your packet.

The Gift of Love INC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to spread love and hope to those who need it most through grocery donation/drop-offs, care packages and visiting with seniors in nursing homes and assistant living centers who may feel isolated and lonely.
Event Day Schedule:

9:00am-9:50am: Packet pickup on site
10:00am: Run/walk start
10:45am: After party! Brews, hot chocolate, amazing grub and our famous “Beer Olympics” fitness games.
*Please note this is an OPEN course and an untimed fun run that includes several unmanned street crossings so participants are responsible for following all traffic rules and personal safety.

WestCo, the Grand Valley’s newest craft brewery, has recently opened in Grand Junction. Nestled near the Colorado River, in the Las Colonias district – WestCo crafts new and exciting beers onsite and offers a food menu that combines Asian and Southwestern cuisine. WestCo sits alongside the River Front Trail allowing for easy access to one of the longest bike paths in the Valley. After each run, there will be beer Olympics fitness challenges and other festivities
CAN YOU HANDLE A GROWLER?
We have a fun challenge: at every event we will have, not one but two water filled growlers ready for one lucky runner to carry. If they can finish the 5k-ish course in under 25 minutes without dropping, spilling or transferring the growlers to someone else they win a growler filled with a beer of their choice!
HOW ABOUT A KEG?
This year we are going EVEN BIGGER! We are challenging a team of two to carry a filled keg for the entire course. If they can finish in under 45 minutes without putting the keg down (no rolling) they win a filled growler each!

BEER OLYMPICS EVENTS
A staple at all of our events are the Beer Olympics. Beer Olympics are a series of competitions, most modeled after real Olympics or gym based games, some are inspired by drinking games from around the world and others are a just a little silly. Every game is fun and all about having a great time competing and changing up the typical post race experience for everyone!
BEER BALANCE RELAY
Five teams of 2 line up. One partner balances a half filled beer on their hand and must run 50 meters and back without spilling while the other partner does burpees. They switch, and then the last runner must chug the beer. The first team to complete the relay and drink the beer wins!
BEER SQUAT CHALLENGE
How many squats can you do in 1 minute? What about if you are holding 3 ounces of beer on your head? A fitness coach will referee, making sure you are squatting with proper form, deep enough and helping you to keep track. The person who completes the most squats without spillage wins the GOLD!
KEG HAUL RELAY
Two teams of 4 line up. 2 people carry keg (holding onto each side) down 50 meters and back while partners do pushups, switch and the first team back wins!
CORN HOLE DRINKING CHALLENGE
Teams of 2 line up in front of a corn hole board. First partner must make a shot while other partner drinks a beer, they switch and first team to finish their beer and complete the 2nd shot wins!
TRIPLE JUMP
Complete 3 broad jumps in a row, try to get the furthest without spilling your beer!
FLIP CUP PLANKING RELAY
Three teams of three line a long table. The first person drinks their beer, flips their cup, and goes into a plank. Then the second person then drinks beer, flips their cup, and goes into a plank. The first team to have their final person flip their cup successfully wins.
